Sturgis brand propane gas regulator for
high pressure propane tank regulation . Preset (10 psi or 20 psi) or Adjustable
pressure regulators (0-20 psi is the norm or 0-30 psi or 0-60 psi for
circumstances where higher gas volumes are required).
Outdoor high heat cookers
most often use high pressure propane from tanks which require a high
pressure regulator. Gas grills up to about 50,000 btu/hr
most often use low pressure propane which require a low pressure propane
regulator. Low
pressure can be natural gas,or propane piped into a trailer home or RV,
or a conventional home in
which the gas has already been adjusted to a very low pressure at the
propane source.
Preset low pressure propane regulators are set at 6 ounces.
Natural gas pressure in most areas is 10 ounces and does not require a

Connect the QD socket
and PT9 pigtail together and the propane gas flows. Disconnect
the QD socket and PT9 pigtail and the propane gas is automatically shut off.

Low Pressure
Regulator assembly
This low pressure regulator automatically
switches from the empty propane tank to the full reserve tank, ensuring a
continuous gas flow. The color of the dial also changes from a highly
visible green to red signaling that the first cylinder is exhausted
while the valve automatically changes to the remaining full tank. Rotation
of the handle to the full cylinder will restore the green color on the
indicator. The built in safety back check allows one to change out the
empty tank while the full tank is operational.
