One of our customers says he uses his log lighter occasionally to make his smoker pit a warming oven when he is frying fish...so everyone can sit down at the table and eat at the same time.  Of course, you don't need to put wood in the firebox when you do this.  Just put water in the water reservoir in the barrel.  Our customers are so clever!
