Dual Tank Automatic Changeover Low Pressure
Regulator
This low pressure regulator by the Cavagna
Group automatically
switches from the empty propane tank to the full reserve tank, ensuring a
continuous gas flow. The color of the dial also changes from a highly
visible green to red signaling that the first cylinder is exhausted
while the valve automatically changes to the remaining full tank. Rotation
of the handle to the full cylinder will restore the green color on the
indicator. The built in safety back check allows one to change out the
empty tank while the full tank is operational.
High output 160,00 btu/hr capacity,
1/4" female inverted flare inlets x 3/8"ID female NPT outlet, complies with
UL144 and NFPA 1192 requirements for use with recreational vehicles, and

Tank Changeover Valve

you have questions. Valve has two 1/4" ID female inverted flare
inlets and a single 1/4" male NPT outlet (to screw into a
regulator). Hose lengths are 24".
Acme tank connectors have back flow prevention. When one tank is
empty, just turn the lever to the full tank. Then close the tank
valve on the empty tank and you are free to remove it for replacement.
A very simple solution to a nagging problem of running out of gas at the

Overbraid makes the 24" hoses very strong and impervious to gnawing

Compact Low Pressure Twin Stage Regulator
This compact
regulator combines first and second stage regulators into a single unit.
Designed to reduce tank pressure down to a preset 11" WC delivery pressure.
Manually adjustable from 9 to 13" WC. The compact design makes it the ideal choice for small domestic
applications requiring slightly higher gas volumes than available from
normal low pressure preset regulators. Unit is equipped with 1/8" FNPT pressure gauge taps on inlet and

Why use a twin stage regulator? The first stage of a twin stage low pressure regulator brings the unregulated tank pressure down to a constant 10 psi. This helps the second stage regulator maintain a nearly constant 11" WC gas delivery to your appliances. (These dual stage type regulators are required by Federal code on all RV's. They compensate for the varying tank pressures inside the propane tank and insure an even pressure on the delivery side regardless of the varying demand for gas.) | First Stage and Second Stage Low
Pressure Custom Assembly For situations
where you intend to have a portable propane tank close to the house or very
near a propane fueled generator, a First
Stage and Second Stage Custom Assembly which is already plumbed together may
be very convenient. Also, for stand alone emergency generators which
rely on portable tanks, this pre-mounted assembly is ideal. The large
capacity first stage regulator (RED) pictured at right is factory set at 10
psig. It is equipped with an integral relief valve and built-in 1/8"
FNPT pressure gauge tap. The adjustment range, (normally not
necessary), is 5-10 psig. Output capacity is 2,500,000 btu/hr.
The second stage regulator (GREY) pictured at right is factory set at 11"
WC. The adjustment range is 9
to 13" WC. It is also equipped with an integral relief valve and a built-in
1/8" FNPT pressure gauge tap. Tejas Smokers has fabricated a
complete assembly including a 60" x 1/4"ID high pressure thermoplastic
rubber hose outfitted with a 204051 Full Flow POL tank connector.
The two
regulators are pre-mounted on a 12" x 12" aluminum panel. The panel
has 1/4" diameter holes in each corner for easy installation.
Everything is already plumbed together and all you have to do is mount it on
a vertical surface with the two relief valves facing down. (The
black relief valves are in black at bottom in the picture at the right.)
The outlet threads on the Grey second stage regulator are 3/4" FNPT so
either use 3/4"ID pipe or you can use flexible 3/4"ID low pressure gas hose

the Second Stage (low pressure) Regulator may be advantageous in order to
avoid noticeable pressure drops in the gas delivery downstream. The
